Research

My research is organized around physical problems. Methods are selected and combined as needed.

Research Problems

High-Heat-Flux & Two-Phase Systems

Understanding and predicting thermal limits in systems where large heat loads, phase change, pressure drop, and flow instability interact.

Experience: flow boiling and two-phase cooling for ultra-fast EV charging; liquid-immersion cooling of high-power solid-state lasers.

Transport & Flow Systems

Understanding how momentum, heat, and transported material move and interact in engineered flow systems.

Experience: chaotic mixing, crossflow filtration, multiphase transport, and thermal-fluid systems.

AI for Physical Systems

Developing predictive and reasoning methods that connect data with physical models and scientific computation.

Current work: generative modeling and AI agents for boiling and related physical systems.

Approach

Experiment · Physical Modeling · Scientific Computing · Data-Driven Modeling · AI Agents

These are complementary tools rather than separate research identities. My primary physical grounding is in thermofluids and two-phase flow.
